Realm Hack, a national hackathon for builders

Realm Hack is open to students and independent developers across India. You do not need to be enrolled in a college to take part.

Teams can have 1 to 4 members. Solo participation is allowed.

No. Participation in Realm Hack is completely free.

Realm Hack has three rounds. Round I is registration and idea submission. Shortlisted teams advance to Round II, where they submit a technical proposal. Only teams selected from Round II are invited to the 24-hour offline Grand Finale in Round III.

No. Clearing Round I means you advance to Round II, which is still online. Only teams selected at the end of Round II are invited to the offline Grand Finale.

Your chosen technology track, a project title, and a short abstract describing what you plan to build. No code or presentation is required at this stage.

A four-slide implementation proposal covering the problem, your solution, technical architecture, and execution plan. A template will be provided. Submissions with more than four slides will not be evaluated. Round II submissions are made through the official Realm Hack website, and only teams shortlisted from Round I receive access and submission instructions.

Prior research, planning, architecture, and design are allowed. The main implementation and development of the project must take place during the Grand Finale.

Yes. The Grand Finale is fully offline, held at College of Engineering Karunagappally, Kerala on 9 to 10 October 2026. Teams invited to Round III must be able to travel and attend in person.

Projects are evaluated on innovation, technical execution, functionality, real-world impact, and presentation.

The Grand Finale carries a ₹60,000 prize pool, awarded to the winning teams. All finalist teams receive goodies and swag. Prizes are awarded only at the Grand Finale, because Rounds I and II are selection rounds.

Yes. All teams that advance to Round II receive a participation certificate. Teams selected for the Grand Finale receive a separate finalist certificate at the closing ceremony, along with certificates for the winning teams.

Your laptop, chargers, any hardware your project needs, a college or government ID, and personal essentials for an overnight event. Food, beverages, and refreshments are provided throughout the 24 hours.
